Blend it right.
Three tanks of base stock, three orders to fill. Each order needs a blend that's good enough and clean enough, and the stock has to last for all three. Do it at the lowest cost, then see what an optimizer finds.

My team won the Pioneers 4.0 hackathon (MoIAT and EDGE Group, 2024) with an optimizer for blending schedules and a real-time monitoring dashboard. This is a simplified, made-up version of that kind of problem: every choice now changes what's possible later.
